I don't recall where this originated but its something to think about on this 230th anniversary.

I didn't write it. Wish I knew who did, but in any case, I elected not to edit.

In other news, last year Rino Governor Mitt Romney banned all "assault weapons" in Massachusetts.
The citizens meekly turned them in and asked him to run for president.

Yeah, this wouldn't happen today. We'd hand over the few men who'd stand against tyranny.

Good thing you didn't put "Developing..." at the end of the post!

Are you sure of that?? It may be true in that particular case but the majority of the "British" army during the Revolution were loyalist born over here. This is especially true in the South where most people were of English heritage.
Apparently, this unit was more successful than they were given credit for. It seems they must have killed or run off most of the right wing people living near Boston because they never seemed to have gone back.

Those guys were Royal regulars. Hardly the quivalent of our NG.They were serving the same function of enforcing government policy that our IRS/BATF/FBI/& others do.
And the colonists considered themselves under the crown, not "Americans".
I know you don't like the implications of this, but tough scat.

I disagree, let's hope it does. Would rather it happen peacefully, but.. those who resist peaceful change make a bloody violent revolution inevitable.

Why, just the other day someone posted an article about Kansas state Senator Journey and his "victory" in getting left-wing governor Sibelius to sign a bill so that gunowners could transport their guns w/o incurring the displeasure of the 'king' . . .
Added as a rider to the bill, however, this small fly in the ointment: if you `drop the ball' on paying your taxes, they can come to your home and confiscate your guns.
I can remember when Kansas was a free state.

You are obviously a police-hater. Your opinion is worthless.
The people who did this are murderers.
Jesus told us to obey authority.
As lawbreakers, they deserve to be arrested or killed.
You are a Druggertarian Anarchist.
Did I forget any? Just saving our jackboot lickers the time and effort.
