Posted on 04/19/2005 11:07:48 AM PDT by ken5050

OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..

Screaming at the top of their lungs about the pubs threatening to use the NUCLEAR OPTION

The Dems sounded like LOONS today with their behavior

I see lots of sounds bits .. especially with Biden's Mad Man Rants

With that said .. it doesn't excuse what Caffee, Hegal and Voinovich did

I am not of opinion Bolton's nomination is dead.

My attitude is based on the control of the Minority of the Majority known as RINO's and the inability of the GOP leadership, Frist in particular, to take control as Delay has done for the House. I'm tired of this small grouping controlling the outcome of the everything that occurs in the Senate especially when the only reason they are in power is because the base put them there. If the Republicans cannot accomplish a straight forward confirmation on Bolton, they can't manage the war over the Judiciary slated to come.

I am tired of seeing the Majority act as the Minority. I can handle political loss, I am not so tolerant of cowardice on part of the majority. I am not tolerant of the Left still running the senate when they were booted out of power. I've had enough.

Either they act like the Majority or they don't deserve to be the Majority. And at this moment, my tolerance of RINO's is at an end. I want Chafee defeated. I want hagel defeated. I want all these McCain-ite Mavericks run out under the same cloud of humiliation they seek to bring to us.

If they were sincerely honest about doing the work the President and the people ask them to do, they wouldn't be ducking out of town to sip wine and eat snail at some high-falutin' country club every other week after the Democrats get done whipping their fannies on CSPAN all the while 2 or 3 RINO's don't bother to show up for the more important meetings that really matter, and have the compunction to act like they really care.

...I'm old enough to remember being in the minority, and it was a lot worse than this.

So am I.

It can't get any worse than this. I remember the Republicans being in the minority and fighting like hell once their agenda was placed on the table of ideas.

So do I Soul Seeker, so do I. Do you know when are they running for re-election?

The Republican seat in Nebraska is safe if we defeat Hagel in the primaries and have a new real Republican, I am not worried a Democrat will win it.

If Chafee is gone in Rhode Island by defeating him in the primaries, his seat is gone to the Democrats, make no doubt about it. Do you know what is Chafee vote in the Senate, is it 60% GOP/Bush 40% against GOP/Bush? If this is the case it will be still better than a Democrat Senator from Rhode Island with 99% against GOP/Bush.

I just turned over to c-span and the House was just quitting for the day---

C-span had one of the reporters tell us what is coming up next---

Guess what? Tomorrow the House will start debating the Energy Bill!!!! That's right, the bill with ANWR, so watch, that will somehow get voted down and taken out---

That is why there hasn't been an energy bill since Bush has been President---also, the dems are gonna want him to start dipping into the Stratgic Reserve even though THEY know, that it wouldn't bring the price of gas down more that one penny, but really could hurt us not to have that supply set aside---

What do you want to bet this bill won't make it to Bush's desk?

I believe both are up in '06.

Someone mentioned recuiting Tom Osbourne to run against Hagle. I think Nebraskans should seriously pursue that option immediately.

Chafee is probably going to lose. Libs want a Democrat. Republicans despise him. No loss if we pick up seats elsewhere. IMO, it's time to cut him loose. I'd rather spend the money electing someone that will support US, than attempting to save his skin in an uncertain race.

Funny.

And here's a Hillary joke for you.........

Hillary Clinton goes to a primary school in New York to talk about the world. After her talk, she has a "question & answer" period.

One little boy raises his hand & the Senator asks him for his name.

"Kenneth."

"And what is your question, Kenneth?"

"I have 3 questions: 1st, whatever happened to your medical health care plan?

2nd, why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office?

3rd, whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?"

Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary Clinton informs the children they will continue after recess.

When they resume Hillary says, "Okay where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

A different little boy puts his hand up.

Hillary points to him & asks him for his name.

"Larry."

"And what is your question?"

"Really, I have 5 questions: 1st, whatever happened to your medical health care plan?

2nd, Why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office?

3rd, Whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?

4th, Why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?

5th, What happened to Kenneth?

Chafee is probably going to lose. Libs want a Democrat. Republicans despise him.

This may well be true but there is always the New England Republicans who will vote for Chafee, and in New England people like to vote their Senators again, and again, and again.

I do agree with you that if we can "almost" guarantee in 2006 a Senate seat pick up in a Red State or a purple State then yes we should cut him loose and spend the money on that candidate from the Red/Purple State.

Biden used to be a plagiarizer but a decent human being with tragedy in his family. He now suffers from a bad case of premature election. He thought that Kerry's election was in the bag and he would be Secretary of Defense. What a doofus,he has turned into a filthy snake with no core of decency. He is either snide, mean and vicious or he is laughing and saying the most unbelievable things. He may be losing his mind or he may be bi-polar. He seems to get meaner and more pushy every day like testosterone gone wild or chemical imbalance. He does not even try to pretend to be civil. I hope we are saving all these sound bites of his.
