Posted on 04/19/2005 11:07:48 AM PDT by ken5050

OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..

I have read several of his books, and I agree with you. The dissidents label him a "conservative" simply because he is true to the beliefs of the Church and is unwilling to let them turn everything upside down.

But he's not conservative in some stodgy, reactionary sense. He has done some groundbreaking theological work in the field of ecclesiology, which is to say on the nature of the Church itself.

A good place to start is his early book on Christian brotherhood, which was well received by Protestants when it came out.

They're voting on a recess which would allow the Foreign Relations Committee to meet and vote Bolton out of committee and onto the Senate floor. Don't know when the full Senate will vote on him.

Spam from the Vatican to the DNC headquarters and moveon.org, that should give Howard Dean a reason to scream again. I have been waiting for the curtain call scream.

Do you happen to know if when the Senate changes party control, they change parliamentarians?

Just read the DU thread on the new Pope...they are going nuts.

They stand for the murder of the unborn and the murder of the weak and handicapped. God just said through one of His more powerful channels that this is not on. They can choke on that message for all I care.

Regards, Ivan
