It looks like Lugar got double-crossedIf he had what it takes, that wouldn't happen.

Its not over...its just going to be delayed in order for everyone to investigate the recent allegations against Bolton. If nothing is found, then the Republicans will probably close-up ranks and vote him out of committee. You are correct. However it is aggravating that this ploy was pulled at all and that Voinovich (and Hagel and Chaffee with their "concerned" expressions) went along.

Exactly. The Dems will not be swayed. The only reason to delay is to sway to republicans on the fence.

"Add in the judiciary fiasco, and the Pubbies look like a bunch of amateurs trying to govern."
That and expressly spending his "political capital" on his still undefined SS plan. If he or Cheney haven't been lobying the panel members, big mistake.
To: Two-Bits
Just make sure you write VOID across the pieces, otherwise they might try taping them back together.

And W will just say he's disappointed and say it was "the will of the Senate" instead of kicking their asses all over Capital Hill like he should have been doing all along. And just what exactly can the President do about Voinovich? George Voinovich has one of the safest seats in the Senate. He'll be in Washington long after the President leaves -- misrepresenting my State.
To: maggiefluffs
Why am I NOT surprised? Thanks for those names.
To: truthkeeper
There are 10 republicans on this committee who speak less than 10 minutes out of an hour.
Lugar has no control.
To: prairiebreeze
I cannot fricken believe this. Somebody tell me why we won the Senate.
To: Kerretarded
You know, FORGET about the pubs being the majority, just hand over the power to the evil RATS...WHAT THE HELL IS A MAJORITY for...SCREW IT!!

It's over.
And not only that, the Dems know exactly HOW to do this to every single nominee Bush puts up from now to the end of time.

Watching Lugar cower from the bullying rats. I am disgusted. I can't imagine how judges could get through for us if this is what our side has as the A team.
To: Pukin Dog
I think it is time to change my voter registration. I have not been this angry since the Raiders traded Marcus Allen. Nah, since the Orioles traded Steve Finley, Pete Harnisch and Curt Schilling for Glenn Davis!
To: cyncooper
You are more optimistic than I. There are now another two weeks for the media to crucify Bolton. He's done, you can stick a fork in him.
