OK..here's what we know..Senate is in recess for the weekly party caucus luncheons. Supposed to resume at 2:15. on C-span 2.. The Foreign Relations committee is supposed to meet at 2:45 to vote on the Bolton nomination. Lugar has refused requests for a delay. Just before the Senate recessed, Reid objected to Frist's UC request for the Froeign Relations committee to meet today. Frist withdrew his request..
If I were Bolton I'd withdraw. Who needs this? And W will just say he's disappointed and say it was "the will of the Senate" instead of kicking their asses all over Capital Hill like he should have been doing all along.

It's not like the uN is going anywhere soon anyway, It's already in the crapper. and we know where the Senate is..
The entire tenor of this hearing changed in a matter of minutes......did they throw a dead horse's head on Lugar"s desk, or WHAT? I've been embarrassed to be a republican before, but this really takes the cake. I am so mad I could spit nails.
LBJ was an SOB, but I would have loved to have seen how he would have handled fellow Democrats pulling the kind of crap our RINOs have.

I cannot believe I stayed here until now watching this. Lugar had it two hours ago. He got rolled and is wussing out. Why can't they just vote now.
Just ripped up the check to the NRSC telling them what a great job they were finally doing......Maybe I should mail the pieces to them. Again, for those that state a RINO is better than a Democrat.......Since when, I can't tell the difference...A RINO ALWAYS VOTE DEMOCRAT, ALWAYS.

Voinovich's office number is consistently busy. Nobody answers at the RNC Senate committee office at this time.

I disagree. He or another Senator should have called the question. This phoney comity is nothing but handing the Democrats a victory. A Republican senate slapping the President across the chops.

I wish to heck the Republicans would stand up and play hardball with these Senators-for-life like Biden and Dodd and Boxer, whom history has shown to be wrong on everything, especially wrt foreign policy, over the last twenty years! Instead they're worried about getting face time on MTP and FTN and with Snuffulupagus! Don't ask me for any more money!!!!
