I totally sympathize with the Rabbi, but in the end he has made Jews look bad and he has made a "hero" out of this jerk to his sycophants.

I have one problem with your post--I don't think the Rabbi should be expected to represent all Jews, anymore than Michael Jackson represents all Blacks, or Jim Bakker represented all Evangelicals, et all; what you do think?

To those people who *want* Jews to look bad this will reinforce their belief. To some who were on the fence, this will move them. To others who had no doubts, there will be doubts.
This isn't just an average Jewish guy flittin' off at a putz, this is a Rabbi. To some of us who know, we realize that Rabbis can throw down on each other given the right circumstance, but to those who do not know this man's failing will represent all Jews the same way the failings of Jimmy Swaggart represented all Christians to some people.
