Well get ready the next Pope will be one of those you mentioned. Ratzinger is a care-taker Pope at best.

Why do you say that? Do you expect him to die soon?

Why do these Popes have to be so old? Reminds of the old USSR Premieres who could never say alive long enough to negotiate with Reagan.

Buckwheat the guy is 78 and taking on huge responsibilities that would test even a younger man. At best this man may last 5 years. He is the second oldest Pope ever elected. Pope Clement XII was elected in 1730 at 78 and was in failing health even then and going deaf but somehow lasted 10 years. But that was 250 years ago and the burdens have only gotten heavier for anyone Pope.
So I believe that this Pope will be there only a few years and if he lasts more than 5 I will be surprised.
