And don't anyone think only Dems would do this.

Sorry, but that's just BS.
I have many complaints with my party, most of them having
to do with a LACK of intestinal fortitude. There is NO WAY
a Republican administration would have had the balls,
or the media cover, to do what clinton's thugs did at Waco.

Although on a smaller scale, Ruby Ridge was just as corrupt and burtal as Waco.

It was done under a Republican president. George Bush Sr. simply hated these people and totally approved of their murder.

I don't have any proof that he did but that is my reading after seeing his many comments, especially his supporting the Jack Booted Thugs, and resigning his NRA membership right at the most crucial time to help pass the assault weapon ban. He also banned the importation of many guns just on his whim.

Think Ruby Ridge.

That happened while Bush #1 was in office. 13 year old boy shot in the back while running away. Mother of three with her child in her arms shot in the head while holding the door open for her husband, who had just been shot in the shoulder.

All because of 1/8th inch of metal on a shotgun barrel and a court screwed up date for Weaver's appearance.

I'm sorry you find my views that Pubbies could do this too BS Mama.

Ruby Ridge took place in August 1992 when Bush the Elder was still POTUS and apparently the JBT mentality in the BATF was already institutional and preceded Clinton though admittedly he took it to new heights.

It was a retired GOP Senator from Missouri who softpedaled the enquiry into the Waco affair.

I agree that perhaps serious GOP leaders like Delay would hesitate to go nuclear on firearms confiscations but there will always been milquetoast GOPers to go along same as Dems. McCain probably would if he thought Russert would give him more hugs and kisses Sunday morning. I don't think Guliani has a big concept on firearms rights either. It's socially moderate to liberal Neos I worry about in the GOP who think guns are for rednecks. I don't think their plan of action would have been much different that the Toon's. I do think Ashcroft would have handled it far differently than Reno.

The GOP offers a better alternative arguably but no security per se from these abuses. In my view.

I vote and support (R) same as you and also feel they lack stones too frequently.
