Mom, early this morning when the vote was completed (but no pope was selected) the smoke appeared white for a few minutes. No bells were ringing and eventually news agencies stated the smoke was black. However, one Italian agency stated erroneously that a pope had been chosen.

CBS is saying the timing is suspicious -- if they burn ballots it must mean that they have elected a pope.

Boy, this is HARD to figure out.
