I guess there are small "s" skeptics and capital case "S" Skeptics, the former being healthy and the latter being harmful. Some skepticism is required for being rational, otherwise any little scrap of tinfoil will sway you.
I admit to finding this stuff endlessly fascinating, have been paying attention to it for a long time. I always read these threads, thanx much to Quix or LVD pinging me.
But, honestly, we are rarely close enough to things moving in the sky to absolutely identify them, esp at night, so I figure most sightings are inconclusive. I used to be in the deer stand way before sunup, lots of spooky things moving in the sky, I enjoyed watching them, but all explainable as aircraft or satellites, IMO. At least I had a loaded rifle if one messed with me - just kidding! If you have ever seen a fighter jet fly at low altitude over your head at night, it kind of makes your blood run cold.
But there are still plenty of accounts that just defy explanation and stories from people who should know, so I keep an open mind. Also, these threads frequently generate personal stories by freepers; they are always interesting and usually very credible.
I'm betwixt and between hoping we will someday find proof of an alien presence...I figure if we do, at the very least the effect on the stock market will be unpredictable ;-)
Anyhow, whether they are here or no, I am quite sure alien life does exist. It also makes sense to me that they may likely be aware of our own presence. Who knows, they may have had a hand in our origins.
