Can a drug store make it with only male customers?
Ping to self for later pingout.
Do females only buy the after sex pill??
I wonder if the govenor would require all pharmacies to carry and dispense Monkey Chow? Sure would be convenient for those that have a monkey...
I used to work in a pharmacy, I was going to be a pharmacist. I always thought that if a women went to the hospital after a rape, that the dr would automatically prescribe something like the morning after pill so that a pregnancy wouldn't occur.
As far as contraception goes, we dispensed a lot of pills. I never even thought about it, we always came down on the side of it's a husband and wife decision to make.
An addendum to my previous message would be that I quit working in a pharmacy 15 years ago. I think it would be quite a dilemma to dispense the 'morning after' pill without a dr's prescription. I'm really uncomfortable about the circumstances surrounding 'emergency contraception.' Unfortunately with some teenagers, it would always be an emergency because they don't plan to have sex and therefore no plans for birth control.
if there is nothing morally wrong with abortion, then why is it even necessary to reduce the number of abortions? why is it necessarily a good thing to do? could this person be admitting that abortion is morally wrong?
are you saying that because a pharmacy does not carry the "after-sex" pill, it will lose all of its female customers? or that all females only go to the pharmacy because they want that pill? i guess i don't understand your question...

Also, these pharmacies get sued all of the time. How can government complel a business to do something against his judgement that might cost him everything he has. Furthermore, pharmacists do review prescriptions for suitability and interreactions. That helps prevent errors docs make and undoubtably saves lives.
FReepmail me if you want on or off my health and science ping list.
If you have a conscience it would be hard to sell the pill to a woman.

Interesting enough, any State executive or legislative branch looking to buttress arguments in favor of requiring pharmacists to provide the emergency abortion (a/k/a the same abortifacient contraception half the US female population, including "Christians", take) need look no farther than the arguments of the GOP in 1970.
The greatest concern of Republicans in 1970 where abortion was concerned was "availability." While they demurred on whether it was the Federal Government's obligation to step in and fix things, they agreed that having some states prohibit abortion amounted to economic discrimination against those who most needed an abortion: the poor (who would always be with us, acc'd to Jesus of Nazareth).
I see no reason to believe that forcing women to suss out free-thinking pharmacists more in line with GOP notions of reproductive rights as set forth in detail over 35 years ago is not the same exact imposition of economic hardship the GOP found so untenable where the ready provision of Women's Healthcare was concerned.
Then let's hope he doesn't also sell viagra which can be an accessory to a crime!
He doesn't stock the pill. I hope he expresses that. You can't sell something you don't carry.
