I hope Bill Bennett's talk show will make these ratings. It is relatively new (about one year old), but Bennett's insights in politics are as good, maybe better than those of Rush Limbaugh, and his cultural views are as insightful as those of Michael Medved. Bennett tends to be somewhat low key and comes across like a conservative version of NPR, which may be a detracting factor. No one would accuse Limbaugh, Hannity, or Savage (numbers 1, 2, and 5, respectively) of not being boisterous and argumentative. The soft-spoken style of Bennett is not the predominant one among conservative talkers.

Some of those styled "non-political" are really not. Howard Stern tends to be liberal, with some libertarian leanings. Don Imus is moderate to liberal. Tom Leykis is extremely liberal. All three tend to more societal commentary, as opposed to Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, etc, who are predominantly political. OTOH, Laura Schlesinger is basically non-partisan and really is a "traditional values" version of Joyce Brothers or Dewey Brazelton. Her "beat" is family issues and cultural matters. In that sense, she is at least as "non-political" as Stern, Imus, and Leykis.

I'm glad someone mentioned Bill Bennett's new program. I started listening as soon as I learned he was on 920WGKA here in Atlanta. The best way to wake up in the morning.

The show just celebrated its 1st anniversary. I'm sure the ratings will go up.

I'm surprised Bennet didn't make the list yet. However, it is the fastest growing moring show. He's the thinkning man's conservative. He proves daily that you can be polite and get your point across more effectively and persuasively.

I wonder what his numbers are here in Atlanta. I know a number of conservatives here who, like myself, go out of their way to avoid Boortz. He's no conservative, except perhaps on fiscal issues. I can't bear to listen to his self-aggrandizing bombast anymore, or hear about his Mercedes or his private plane. He's too full of himself, just another shock jock--like Howard Stern without the hair.

I guess the liberal talk show hosts don't want to be called liberal, else their ratings will fall.

I didn't know Bill Bennett had a talk show - I love listening to him. Where/when is he on?
