"Well, since I have some experience with IBM contracts"
Do ye now - Kindly quote chapter and verse of your experiences - to support your venom.
History has shown you don't know what you are talking about.
And nothing is 100% - but IBM has always made good where there is a problem - or they would not be where they are today.
IBM 224795 circa. 1963 IBM-GEM PACOPS '66-'70
Whoa there, Mr. IBM - what about the Gazillion Bucks given by Uncle Sam to develop sector suites for the FAA? Ten years, a Gazillion down a rat-hole, and IBM threw up it's hands, said 'we can't make it work' and walked away without ever delivering a single piece of hardware.
I have experience with IBM too. Ditto stylin's comments.
Maybe we are just two isolated instances........
American Express, Minneapolis circa 2000, American Express had signed off on a system image (they have to test extensively against their own software) sent the image to IBM to have it pushed to roughly a third of the machines.
Someone at IBM added an untested piece of software to the image when it was pushed to the computers. 1 third of the machines at American Express went down due to the addition of this piece of software.
IBM may make good, but they darn well make sure they get their pound of flesh.
As for you, Bobitutu, you obviously have no sense of humor, nor do you know a bit of hyperbole when you see it.
