The IRS isn't the problem. The problem is Congress, which has created the incomprehensible tax code. It is that code's complexity which gives bad IRS agents the ability to abuse people. There are bad people in every organization. Congress is the problem.
You've got that right. I once attempted to read the tax code, but after a few minutes, I was so confused that I simply accepted defeat. The Internal Revenue Service publications are so much more sensible. On the other hand, I am an idiot who shouldn't have graduated from high school, which teaches children the intricacies of taxation law so that they may succeed in this free society.
