A generation ago Europe and America joined together to save Bangladesh from mass starvation. The once famous "concert for Bangladesh" was part of that effort.
I know this sounds harsh but . . . today it is evident that that effort was a bad mistake. We should have left the relief to the Saudis, Iraqis and Iranians and let them send the food. If any.
