My point is you're probably a troll.
I have no idea.
That is correct and it is what I have said.
Oh, you didn't know that? You presumed and assumed something false?
What a shock.
"Practically every prominent, respected, enlightened, moral, authoritative, Constitutionally well-versed/studied/published, well regarded, highly educated, esteemed, principled, decent and thoughtful Conservative of note, type and distinguishment...
...is repulsed by the court-ordered, starvation death of Terri Schiavo."
...to which you promptly changed the subject matter to fit your ever-sliding agenda.
I do NOT feel that a feeding tube in any way, shape, fashion, or form, constitutes *artificial* *life* *support*. I feel that anyone who does, is themselves, STARVED.
Beyond that, I am Roman Catholic (just as Terri was...just as John Paul The Great was,) and do not believe in euthanasia.
So, your real purpose revealed.
BTW, your obsession is becoming to apparent. Seek help. Stalking is not approved of here.
If this is where the financial pubbies think they are going to lead us to then they had better start investing in Gold.
I'm not very knowledgable on the legal process and the term "finder of fact", so I don't know the answer to you question.
I take it from the way you stated the question that you have a point to make. Could you explain what you are getting at with your question?
Yes, we disagree. I do not approve of rumor-mongering or purveying false stories about others.
Yawnnnnnnn....Troll elsewhere. Lectures from newbies carry no weight here. About 80% of the AllTerriAllTheTime crowd are newbies. I respect the opinion of the other 20% to the extent they want to talk about the issues rather than foaming at the mouth.
I cannot help but feel, that your post #463 was partially directed towards me, and the story I related of my dads last days...I must say, I was rather shocked at how glibly you brushed aside his ordeal, and demanded that we focus only on Terri Shiavo, and her particular case...
Do you not understand, that the Terri Shiavo case, was of course, about Terri Shiavo in particular, but that the whole case opened up the discussion to lots of other aspects of the whole course of her ordeal...
For instance, the fact that my dad was dying and at the end of his life, in no way negated the way he was treated by a busybody nurse and a busybody doctor, trying to push me and my father, and trying to substitute their wishes for our own...busybodies are everywhere, trying for 'force' their opinion and their judgements down everyone elses throat...
This opens the discussion to all of us, deciding how we wish to spent the last days of our lives...to my thinking it was never clear in the Terri Shiavo case, what she would have wanted....to me, we just do not know, and therefore we should have allowed her to live...but this is my wish, my own personal wish, which obviously was of no interest to anyone involved in the case...
There have been folks on FR, who have openly declared, that if someone had a living will, saying that they wished to have a feeding tube withdrawn, if in a PVS...and these folks have said they would disobey that living will, if they were in charge, because clearly no one in their sane mind would wish for such a thing...again, they are busybodies, inserting their own personal judgement against the person who actually made the living will...is that just?...If I have a wish for the end of my life, within the law as written, and you chose to disobey my wishes out of some sense that you feel your judgement is better, well, then you are a busybody...
Again, I agree with many, who are not clear about what Terri Shiavo actually wanted, and therefore we should have sided on the side of letting her life continue...
But, you are being very short sighted, when you say we need to focus only on what was done to Terri Shiavo...because, it is an issue that many have already faced with family members, and have lived with those decisions, and its an issue that all of us will have to face for ourselves...
For myself, I know exactly what I do and do not want done for me at the ending of my life, and its spelled out, and my whole family has been informed of my wishes, and they love me enough to honor my wishes...and should any 'busybody' try to interfere, and substitute their judgement for my own, they will have the wrath and ire of my family to deal with...
Looking at Terri Shiavo, and beyond Terri Shiavo and all around the edges of her case, looking at all the issues, is of the utmost importance, at least to me...
It should be important to everyone...
Hear Hear, Drango! Well said.
I've been watching this discussion.. 675 posts and counting.. so, anyone changed anyone's mind yet? Thought not. LOL..
Newbies looking for a battleground. This will pass..
Where do you get your 'stuff' from. I hold your fate in my hands? I will laugh along with you on that one. Or is this one of your - I have nothing to post - so I will just say anything 'post' - anything as long as it's derogatory.
No one is supposed to notice, let alone mention, the hollowed hearts behind such designations. I am so glad that no one I know and love is of that low a caliber of being.
I am sure it was difficult for you as it would be anyone.
This Terri case has been very hard on anyone who has had to make tough decisions for their family members.
