For now it is. But it sure seems the more crowded a place gets, the more blue it gets. The NE is already crowded. No wonder it's not growing as fast. Be careful what you wish for.
Since 2001, if redistricting was done today 3 congressional seats would be taken away from blue states, and given to red states.
By the end of the decade that will be 8-10 seats. People are 'voting with their feet'.. and leaving the no-growther, unionized blue states, and heading for the opportunity of red America.
