One month after the April 19, 1995, Oklahoma City bombing (search) that killed 168 people, authorities demolished what was left of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building (search). Officials said the implosion was a necessary part of the psychological recovery for the citizens of Oklahoma City. But critics question the FBI’s tactics and argue the building came down too soon and the implosion is one piece of a government cover-up. Survivor VZ Lawton remembers the events after the attack. “I was in my office at my desk signing papers and all of a sudden the building began to shake,” said Lawton. “The lights went out, debris started falling and then something hit me on the head and knocked me out before the truck bomb ever went off.” Lawton and some others believe Timothy McVeigh (search) — who was convicted of federal conspiracy and murder charges in the bombing and executed in 2001 — and convicted conspirator Terry Nichols (search) weren't alone in plotting the attack. During the investigation the FBI circulated sketches of “John Does” and in response received thousands of conflicting tips from across the country.

In no way am I disagreeing with you, but what is bothering me is the shaved leg.
First, we can rule out anybody who was French.
Second, do Middle Eastern women shave their legs? I don’t know any so I ask this question sincerely.
Also, I wonder if a chromosome analysis of the leg was done to determine sex.
I remember reading something at that time about the motivation, but this was before FR; so I don’t know how correct this is. It sure sounds plasible, though, knowing our Clinton. Clinton had tried to push some kind of antiterrorist bill through congress and it was voted down. I have no idea what the bill was about other than he wanted it. Soon after came the bombing, and the bill was reintroduced, and it passed with flying colors.
Do you also remember that those folks in the alphabet agencies who had children in a daycare center in that building did not have their children in school that day?
Odd in comparison to what? McVeigh was the first Federal prisoner executed since 1963, so there aren't a lot of comparable recent cases. Then there's the fact that he dropped his appeals.
I guess I missed the whole deal linking McV, Hurley and ER. Not to mention Asa. I sure do miss a lot of the folks who used to do research here--but not the shills like _Jim. He was soooo lame. I wonder if he got old, sick, dead, worn out or fired.

Oh, you can BET they did all sorts of DNA and chromosomal and bone analysis on that leg, as well as other body parts they found. But that doesn't mean WE'LL ever hear about it.
The "motivation" for the cover-up is most likely the stolen FBI files the clintons have in their possession. Plus, Joe Boucher posted a good explanation on #69 of this thread.

darbymcgill, I seem to remember that there was a first floor transfer beam, that verticals from higher floors rested on- the vertical columns did not go to ground level but terminated on the transfer beam. This allowed for larger open spaces on the ground floor.
When the transfer beam failed, the columns collapsed and a huge chunk fell in.
If you then looked at pictures of the wreckage there was an area where it looked like there should have been columns sticking up from the floor but there were none.
Is my memory correct? is what I'm remembering as transfer beams the main horizontal supports you mention?
And, you were inside the perimeter post blast? What an experience that must have been. I'm sure not a pleasant one, but still, you were a firsthand witness to a really major event.
Sure they had help. Didn't gravity play a big role in this.
I would be inclined to suspect Islamic terrorists, except they usually like to have their cause well known. Certainly, by now some group would have sent a tape to al Jazeera claiming to have pulled off OK, TWA, or any others they could claim, if there was a chance at all of claiming it.
