One month after the April 19, 1995, Oklahoma City bombing (search) that killed 168 people, authorities demolished what was left of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building (search). Officials said the implosion was a necessary part of the psychological recovery for the citizens of Oklahoma City. But critics question the FBIs tactics and argue the building came down too soon and the implosion is one piece of a government cover-up. Survivor VZ Lawton remembers the events after the attack. I was in my office at my desk signing papers and all of a sudden the building began to shake, said Lawton. The lights went out, debris started falling and then something hit me on the head and knocked me out before the truck bomb ever went off. Lawton and some others believe Timothy McVeigh (search) who was convicted of federal conspiracy and murder charges in the bombing and executed in 2001 and convicted conspirator Terry Nichols (search) weren't alone in plotting the attack. During the investigation the FBI circulated sketches of John Does and in response received thousands of conflicting tips from across the country.

Here's a thread from the past on the Partin Report with a lot of posts from long gone old timers: http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a3b03c6a949c4.htm
Thanks.
If you have to choose between incompetence or malice, go for incompetence and you are right 99% of the time. Someone told me that once and it has rung true for me for many years, and lessened my paranoia.I agree. I only bring up the possibility of malice to try to underscore the certainty of incompetence.
Institutional incompetence. Built into the system. Bigger than the many competent agents that slave away under the burden of the institution. Like the field agent who tried to warn superiors about the 9/11 crew taking flight lessons. (Just to take a single example.)
Thank you.
Sorry for the late reply, but I had been out running errands and just got home.
Thank you again.
You're on the ping list!
Thank you so much, Sal. Again, sorry for the late reply and thank yous.
IIRC, Nichols made numerous trips to the PIs, to areas where Al Queda is known to have "branches."
Mark
Thank you!

This contains the letter General Partin wrote regarding the blast.
He's nowhere to be found on the BoP's list of inmates. Last I read he's housed in a prison for informants at an undisclosed location. It wouldn't surprise me if he were already out. Brescia (most likely John Doe 2) has been out for quite a while with a new identity, too.
Thank you, Glockgrrl. I really appreciate it.
I thought Joe did a pretty good job of answering it at #69.
That's all I want to know.
You can find details about that extra recently shaven, dark-skinned leg on this previous FR thread from last summer. Go to replies 236, 239, and 244.
Also, here's a 2001 thread that talks about it, although the information is probably outdated. I haven't read it in a long time. Families to Select Leg's Burial Spot
Understatement.
That would've been the seismological observatory at OU, about 30 miles south in Norman. I believe the official spin on the story was that the second wave was an echo caused by a substratum of stone.
Believe that?
Not a chance that I believe that.
My house and body were not underground, and there were TWO separate explosions I heard, and two separate blast waves that hit my house, traveling across the flat Oklahoma prairie. Period.
I believe you Skip, too many people that day heard 2 distinct explosions for it to have been their imagination.
Yes! Great example.
Also, take a look at what I said about him back in May, 2001. Weird, huh? lol!
Thank you. I'll delve into it right away.
Thank you, Nita Nupress.
I just read through what you offered. It is really very interesting. It brought back a lot of memories.
She may have gotten whacked after her accident so they wouldn't have to take her to a hospital. Just a thought.
