More from Stefan:

I was pleased to get some quotes for the column during a brief phone interview with Sam Reed. He was very gracious and also had some refreshingly tough things to say about the situation in King County. Here are some quotes that didn't make it into The Stranger --

I asked him if he's seen in his years as an election officials any problems like what we're seeing in King County this year. He said that although other counties have made mistakes in their elections at various times "the combination of them in King County is unprecedented", and that "rather than admitting to a mistake they essentially covered it up. This has happened a few times ... it seems to be the organizational culture ... to cover things up". He also emphasized how important it is to account for ballots. This is a basic part of the "Elections 101" training course his office runs for county elections administrators "you have to know how many ballots you have" and that it's "fundamental to good elections management".

Indeed.

good post.

the RNC should pick up this issue, all this constant nonsense from the Dems in the last 5 years about "stolen elections" and "disenfranchised voters" - here is a governors race stolen in plain sight.

This is truly uplifting news. The demorats in Washington State are going crazy with their laws as Gregoire signs them all. If Rossi does get a chance in a revote and wins I would hope that all the legislation that has taken place since Gregoire sat on the throne, will be disallowed.

But what about all those emails from Reed's office on the WA Forum threads, wherein a certain FReeper stated Reed appears to be empowered to do nothing more than cash his paycheck?

Stefan needs to be awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom for his efforts to keep elections fair and honest in our country.

And good point. The RNC SHOULD be helping out here. We all keep getting fund raising notices for us to contribute to support the Republican agenda, but they're already a majority party in D.C. What do they need our $ for now?

But the RNC certainly should intervene in this gubernatorial race. And this corruption should be made known so the whole country is aware of what happened in Washington state.

Bookmarked. Along with probably 45 other WA governor race fraud stories that the MSM are ignoring.

Now, WHY THE HE*L ARE THE FRIGGIN' "national" repubbies also ignoring it?

Egad - the Stranger? For those unfamiliar with the Seattle press, this is an alternative paper that is usually somewhat to the left of Leon Trotsky. Things are getting more bizarre by the day.

Pub', howya? Chrissy proposed a state income tax yet? Gun control? Upping the gasoline and cigarette taxes? All this and more, my friend...

After May 2nd, I'm sure you'll start seeing more from the politico's and talking heads. Try to book a hotel within a 125 mile radius of Wenatchee, Washington during the last two weeks of May, can't be done.

The dims started their shrill noise this week trying to defend the indefensible. When the dust settles, Washington for the first time in it's history will have voided a gubernatorial election and removed a governor.

At least the rats didn't starve him to death.

They will probably use that in 2008
