On fox they are all complainging about the process and
procedure, or lack their of. I have worked in the school
system way too alon. In the schools you have a plan for
each scenario practiced over and over. I can't believe the
capitol and white house after 9/11 do not have procedures
down pat.
Might not be perfect, but it's better than what the old plan was.. There should be an evac plan for the senate though, that doesn't make sense. At least we have the planes ready to go now, but shooting something down over a residential area or city cannot be planned so well I'd guess.
IMO opinion, I would want them screaming get out and issue
a running evacuation. I don't think people would react
as quickley if you just said, o.k. guys looks like we might
need to evacuate but there is no hurry, take your time,
it's just a small plane loaded with explosives, you have
plenty of time.
That is the key - practice. It is hard to shut down government for an evacuation drill. However, I think they'll be moving quickly to such activity. Prepare to hear the whining from the senators and reps. On the military side, the response was well worked out as aircraft were in the air and there on the money.
