I s'pose Dr. Don, with his PhD., can't get a job and can't afford gasoline, so he wants those of us who are productive members of society to have a hard time finding gasoline, too.

And the flipside is that if the industry tried to keep prices artificially high, the result would be a glut when gas and oil gets backed up along the pipeline. That is in major part because the oil producers cannot afford to stop pumping.
