I guess wasn,t specific enough. These people I mentioned did give advice on spirituality and there are people who are greatly influenced by their opinions.
Take Plato for example.
Plato,s God was not triune.
Plato,s God is not omnipotent. He does the best he can with recalcitrant matter Jung Channeled all kinds of spirits. Swedenborg thought Satan did not exist. Some of these peoples idea,s are finding their way into Christianity. Look at Rick Warrens PDL.PDC movement. They use Carl Jungs Psychological Profiling to find their Purpose in life. Emanuel Swedonborg has his own religion called the Swedenborgians. They call themselves a Christian Church. (Ephesians 4:17-19} I declare and solemnly attest in the Lord that you must no longer live as the Pagans do-their minds empty, their understanding darkened. They are estranged from a life in God because of their ignorance and their resistance.

I completely agree with you that many philosophers have made major mistakes, and that even some of the greater philosophers made very serious mistakes. But that is definitely no reason to write them all off. There is much that is true and good there. And all truth is God's truth. We can, as Christians have long said, plunder the gold of the Egyptians. And thus we can mine the wisdom of the philosophers.
