In the meantime, I'd suggest to you that dredging up ancient history to support a (nonexistent) point is not going to get you very far.
Exactly what is the "nonexistent point"? Man, you people can dish out insults, but you sure dance around a point. Speak up. Logic, although no supreme, sure makes conversation more interesting.

Throw a little racism in with the insanity.

There is the card that will be thrown if you defy this one coming. It's been played twice on this thread already, and he isn't even set into power yet.

the Papacy doesn't exist according to the Bible
****
I never said that...Oh it exists and its against Christ.
To: safisoft
Tell me, do you even know how many your "church" murdered? While we're on the topic, why not tell us how many the Protestants murdered or how many so-called "witches" they burned at the stake or how many CATS they killed?
Here's a hint: Over 500,000 in Germany alone, over 50,000 in the American colonies, and most of the cats in Scotland. The Kirk recently apologized for the cats and the witches burned in Scotland during their insane witch-hunting season.
Suffice it to say enough blood has been spilled that it is safe to say that fanaticism is an evil to be avoided.

roflol!!!!gasp.....thou shalt not kill cats. Man you had to do some real digging to come up with that one. What I think is the real craziness of the full deception is.....Protestant and Catholics fight and it looks like a real good cause....but in all actuality...Protestants and every false religion birthed out of this harlot will return back to her in the end, to attack Israel and the believers who will not join her. Can't wait to see what name they come up with for this new group that emerges from the chaos....the hidden Church, the Bride of Christ...that would be a good name.
Its all been a big smoke screen to keep everybody busy thinking they are defending the truth. These are indeed perilous times.
To: BriarBey
I quoted you prophecy about endtimes deception. Isn't it odd, I have known for a year where your next pope will come out of and you know nothing. It's YOUR church, why don't YOU know it. Your so in TOUCH with God.
No no no. You specifically mentioned an AFrican POpe. I want to know where in the Bible you got "African Pope" from. If us Catholics are not allowed to extrapolate doctrine from teh Bible, then you can't either.
To: safisoft
Exactly what is the "nonexistent point"? LOL! That's what I'd like to know - why don't you try making it?
All I can tell is that you evidently have a problem with Catholics, and it appears your problem stems from centuries-old history. How exactly that relates to the modern church is beyond me. Feel free to enlighten us all.

I'm not extrapolating lies to lead people astray and take their souls. I'm warning about the one coming who will. You think the world and the world leaders flocked to this last one...you haven't seen anything yet, and you will support him....your time is short.
To: BriarBey
thou shalt not kill cats. Man you had to do some real digging to come up with that oneNo digging required. Its common knowledge around here. The point, however, is that fanaticism leads to death, bloodshed, and nastiness. I am certain even you can agree with that.

1 Cor 11
23
For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread,
24
and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, "This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me."
25
In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me."
26
For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.
27
Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord.
28
A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup.
29
For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself.
Jesus said "This is my Body" ... "This cup is the new covenant in my blood."

It would sound kinda funny if Jesus said "This is wine, which has been shed for you and for all so that sins may be forgiven".
I'm not sure what the issue is over transubstantiation. It's not like there is anything in the text that shows Jesus to be goofing or using an analogy. He clearly says "This is my body/blood." Not, "This is like my body/blood" or "This is a symbol of my body/blood".

I know...that is why I can't believe what people actually think is christian. Just be careful...God's people are not spineless, they are meek (which means teachable, not soft.)
They will defend truth and much like Christ whip the money changers out of the temple if necessary or take on a Pharisee or two, here and there. But always merciful, and forgiving. They lead, they don't manipulate for control, and they always lead to the Father. Always...just as Christ did. God's people have no personal agenda for power. Don't confuse correction with nastiness. :) Lord knows the teachings of doctrines of devils is almost overwhelming sometimes...things are just as He said they would be. Everyone is looking way out in the future for prophetic events and they are sitting in them as we speak.

I don't need to...he will be here soon enough. That's the same thing the Protestant preacher asked me when I said God was bringing judgement on his church and he had better turn and walk away. He didn't. Unfortunately...I had no chapter and verse but that didn't make his young wife any less dead 3 weeks later. The church went down, just like God said it would.
Soon the defense of your harlot system will no longer hold true, attack me all you want, God is going to destroy her.
Your time is short.

Thanks for proving my point. You're a hypocrite and a fraud.

The schizophrenic prophet finds his first disciple.
Nice, intelligent banter, quick wit - solid labeling, and substantive claims too. You are so astute. I didn't say I agreed with everything she wrote. So are you a Catholic or a Protestant?
To: Conservative til I die
Please explain how this book, obviously *WIDELY* available on Amazon and in bookstores worldwide, hasn't brought the Church down yet. I mean, it's not suppressed, like you say it is. It's affordable to the common man. So why hasn't this book exposed what the Catholic Church doesn't want exposed? It's like all that Gnostic Gospel nonsense. Apparently the Church is trying to hide from them, yet you can pick it up at the bookstore for $10.95.
You just dont understand. The RCC controls Amazon.com. Do you think it its any coincidence it is named for a river in Brazil, a mostly Roman country? If you attempt to order the Didache your name gets on a list. You will eventually receive the Didache, but the upper section of the pages will be marked with a quick acting poison and you will be killed. [sarcasm off]
At first I did not think it would be necessary to add the sarcasm off at the end up there, but then I read some of the other posts, and what I said is actually mild in comparison.

Here are the Scriptures that reference 'unknown' sins....
NIV Leviticus 4:13-14
13. "`If the whole Israelite community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD's commands, even though the community is unaware of the matter, they are guilty.
14. When they become aware of the sin they committed, the assembly must bring a young bull as a sin offering and present it before the Tent of Meeting.
NIV Leviticus 4:22-23
22. "`When a leader sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the commands of the LORD his God, he is guilty.
23. When he is made aware of the sin he committed, he must bring as his offering a male goat without defect.
NIV Leviticus 4:27-28
27. "`If a member of the community sins unintentionally and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD's commands, he is guilty.
28. When he is made aware of the sin he committed, he must bring as his offering for the sin he committed a female goat without defect.
NIV Leviticus 5:2-6
2. "`Or if a person touches anything ceremonially unclean--whether the carcasses of unclean wild animals or of unclean livestock or of unclean creatures that move along the ground--even though he is unaware of it, he has become unclean and is guilty.
3. "`Or if he touches human uncleanness--anything that would make him unclean--even though he is unaware of it, when he learns of it he will be guilty.
4. "`Or if a person thoughtlessly takes an oath to do anything, whether good or evil--in any matter one might carelessly swear about--even though he is unaware of it, in any case when he learns of it he will be guilty.
5. "`When anyone is guilty in any of these ways, he must confess in what way he has sinned
6. and, as a penalty for the sin he has committed, he must bring to the LORD a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin.
NIV Numbers 15:22-30
22. "`Now if you unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses--
23. any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come--
24. and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering.
25. The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have brought to the LORD for their wrong an offering made by fire and a sin offering.
26. The whole Israelite community and the aliens living among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong.
27. "`But if just one person sins unintentionally, he must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering.
28. The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven.
29. One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether he is a native-born Israelite or an alien.

It is a little over the top, but the basis of Protestant and Baptitst beliefs rejects the papacy. Our belief is that following the pope is no different than following Sung Yung Moon.
Well, there is a difference. Following the Pope, you might be inclined to read the Bible and stumble on the fact that salvation comes only from Jesus.
