I always wondered if they were made by BSA, since it stood for British Small Arms.

Or was it Birmingham Small Arms? Hmmmm, my memory is beginning to slip ...

Dunno, I just get all this from reading. I just know BSA made some cool motos.

The right-side shifter always made me worried about ever getting one of those older Brit bikes. I've been told you adjust pretty quick, but still...

Yes it is Birmingham Small Arms. Had an '67 A65 Spitfire for a while. Sweet bike. Last bike was a '73 Commando Interstate 850, which I sold a few months ago.
