My guess would be that you have not downloaded Service Pack 2 from Microsoft. If you do Norton will be disabled.

Sorry .. I have downloaded Service Pack 2 and I have not had any problems. And .. I downloaded it several months ago so if I was going to have problems they certainly would have manifested by now.

However, I unloaded Norton - installed the Service Pack and then reinstalled Norton. No problems.
