Find a Catholic parish, avoid the circus parish.

I have been to many parishes in different cities even. Most masses are celebrated the same now. You can't even say "Amen" now without having to break into an eight verse song.
I was born in 1960. I have faint memories of Latin masses and priests performing mass with their backs to the Parrish. After Vatican II the mass changed drastically. Obviously I was still a young kid and guess I should have changed with it but I didn't. I like the history and traditions of the Church. I really was in awe at the Pope's funeral. It was moving and emotional (although I cringed at the clapping - must have killed off a few old nuns watching) The desire to attract young people and to keep up with the times I think hurt the traditions, which I personally liked.
It's more my problem than the Church's.
