WAFAH Bin Ladin, who bears that terrifying last name, albeit with a different spelling, came to my home. Long hair, skinny jeans, Yankees cap, no makeup, looking like any 25-year-old New York wannabe singer making showbiz rounds. But so drained, she could barely sip her glass of water

Aspiring pop star - uses the name for publicity & denounces it at the same time? Sounds like crocodile tears to me, or am I just being cynical?
Boo. Hoo. I think she should have the decency to go home, and get off American soil.
So what's real, the teary-eyed waif, or the arrogant b!tch described in an earlier article?
Boo frickin hoo-
Change yer name to Wafah Smith. Problem solved.
"My father doesn't speak to us. I don't know him. He is very wealthy. Saudi men command all the power and law. I have no protection. I don't speak Arabic. I don't have a Saudi passport. I play guitar. I write and sing music. To the Arab community, I am an 'infidel.' My mother worries that some fundamentalist will do away with me.
If She is concernd for her safety, having her picture plastered in the NY Post isn't exactly flying under the radar.
Kill your uncle, foolish little girl.
The article states that she uses her mother's maiden name, DuFour. Apparently she was born here, so she's an American citizen. Maybe she comes off dripping with self pity, but she does understand what her last name means to millions of Americans.
She's very pretty.
Read in the article that she actuelly changed her name to Wafah DuFour.
The clincher would be if she volunteered for military service.
or ladenson would give it a kind of scandinavian influence...or ladenski, polish..or ladeno, italian
Yes, she is a beautiful girl. But I have seen about a half of dozen articles about her, and not one of them would be read by anyone if it didn't have "Bin Laden" in the headline. Even though she's changed her name, she is still 'riding' the notoriety of the former name.

" "I'm a paralegal and I give French lessons. Some Greek-American school friends are good enough to share with me."
French and Greek. In certain circles, that might be interpreted differently. ;)
"I have never set foot in any nightclub."
She might want to try it - after all, she wants to sing. Sounds like she's never sung at a nightclub! No wonder her career is in the toilet.
...she's not bad; with some extra pounds on her she'd be kinda cute. She's got enough to certainly hook some sort of man to give her a different last name
My mother worries that some fundamentalist will do away with me.
...Naw, honey, you're definitely not the Pat Robinson, Jerry Fallwell type!
she can cry me a river and kill herself for all I give a ....
Sounds genuine to me. I sure wouldn't want to be held responsible if some half uncle in law went postal and created a terror network. The sins of the father shall not be visited on the son.
