The least we can do is put someone discreet on the front end of these cases to keep them from going into the "regular" channel.

From there we should be able to evacuate the families and personnel whose use to us is compromised by their exposure while during their duty.

If it is 100 families or a thousand families, resettling them in our country wouldn't be that much of a burden, and frankly their assistance in the face of life threatening danger proves that they would probably make great Americans.

I say discreet because if word of such a program got out, we'd get a lot more volunteers, and that's not what we're looking for or looking to do.

Your idea is good and practical, but sadly i dont see it happening.
I just see the betrayal. We should do right by these people, but I just get the sense that we're gonna throw these folks to wolves (esp the christians) when it's all said and done.
It's shameful is what it is, but i guess we're not the same country we were even 15 years ago.
It's sickening. I admit to having some personal issues/involvement with this that i wont get into, so maybe that making it hit harder but even by any objective standard this is just shameful and wrong.

A few thousand Iraqi's being given LEGAL asylum would represent about an hours worth of entrances of ILLEGAL immigrants that cross our southern borders daily.
This is ridiculous.

It not 100 families or even a 1,000. Every Iraqi who works for the coalition or even the new Iraqi government. Everyone driving a truck moving good in and out of the bases is threatened. Every non educated, unskilled worker on the bases are in danger. We cannot take them all into the US and we should not do it. They need to stay in their country get behind their government and help root these terrorists and mafia bastards out of the sewers they crawled out of and eradicate them.
