If I remember correctly, the NK did not know what The Finger meant. The Pueblo crew told them it was a sign of love. The NK let them be photographed flipping off the camera because they though the crew was indicating to their families that they were being treated well. Actually it was a sigh of disrepect to their captures. When the NK discovered what flipping the Bird meant, they were diciplined for their actions.
