Coulter Loses Race for Mayor Jessica Morris April 12, 2005 - 10:33PM Ann Coulter lost Tuesday's race by ten percentage points, even though she appeared to have a lead in the race for the last few days.
Coulter gave her concession speech shortly after 9:00pm from The Chattanooga Choo Choo. You can be anything that you really want to be, and this city can be anything it wants to be. And that's a fine lesson to go out tonight with, Coulter told the crowd.
She accepted the defeat with dignity, saying the race was a wonderful, challenging experience. She poured out gracious thanks for the hard work of her campaign team and was even moved to tears when the loyal crowd began to chant, "We love you, Ann." Coulter said she wants to see the new mayor take care of the things both candidates talked about during their campaigns: job recruitment, education, and neighborhood improvements.
Though she said she never planned to lose, she said she respects the voice of the people. The citizens spoke, and I don't disagree with that. I have always respected people that run for public office and people who win public office, and the citizens had their say. That's the way the process works, and I honor that process. Coulter said she ran to win, and she doesn't know what the future has in store for her.
She looks forward to catching up on some rest with her husband and said the possibilities are unlimited. Had she won tonight's race, Coulter would have been the very first female mayor of Chattanooga.
Oh Geeez wrong THREAD!!! oops

Please use the correct title. Thanks.
"you do know this isnt the one dont ya?"
Duh.
The last time we mentioned the other "Ann Coulter" she gave Free Republic a plug on her C-SPAN interview... I think the two should debate. :)
The real Coulter would destroy her :D
I never knew THE Ann Coulter was married...
More info on this C hattanooga Ann Coulter, please? The pic of her looks like a woman who ran against my U.S. Rep, John Boozman, name of Jan Judy. Commie to the core, lemme tellya. Boozman kicked her butt, too. Separated at birth, perhaps...
You'd think the article would say something like "no relation to the writer/pundit Ann Coulter" just to avoid any confusion. So much for good journalism.
But you forget, they like to pretend the "real" Ann Coulter doesn't exist!
I'd back off newbie. Maybe it is time for your pajamas over at DU. Ann is our friend, as is Rush, W, Cheney, and Rummy.
"I never knew THE real Ann Coulter was married."
Just broke my heart.
Wuz you rootin for her or something ?
Now thats perverse....... ;-)
don't forget Condi!!
