Statistically true, and many factors to it. Higher immigration rates on the low end, decline of corporate inhibitions of board members of public companies rating their own worth with ever increasing salaries on the high end, fueled by the end of the corporate culture wherein the boardmember expects to serve the company for life.

True.

On one hand you have vastly successful people like the inventors of the computer, the internet, the search engine, e-bay, netflix, etc. People of great originality, intelligence, talent, determination who've been greatly rewarded...and who can complain about that?

On the other you've got people such as you've described...and others whose greed and amorality knows no bounds.
