On one hand you have vastly successful people like the inventors of the computer, the internet, the search engine, e-bay, netflix, etc. People of great originality, intelligence, talent, determination who've been greatly rewarded...and who can complain about that?
On the other you've got people such as you've described...and others whose greed and amorality knows no bounds.
