I've read about the wording of these "English only" bills and I don't have a problem with them at all. They do not force anyone not to use another language, they just refuse to make other languages mandatory, or to make the absence of other languages a civil matter (like the Mexican that sued in Texas because he claimed his auto accident was a direct effect of him not being able to read the road signs).
I find comfort in the knowledge that no one can be sued because the exit sign above their front door is not as large as an Imax screen so there will be room to spell out "exit" in 180 different languages. Its not too much to ask of anyone trying to function in our society to at least get familiar with four symbols (e,x,i,t) put together in an order to designate "hey, this is the way out".
