With the Medicare vote and No Child Left Behind we have been able to really find out where people stand.I can give someone a pass for a one time highway bill or Appropriations bill. But a forever lasting entitlement costing tens of trillions and expansion of Department OF EDUCATION is unforgivable if you want to continue to be called conservative.Frist,Santorum,Allen, and Brownback are my Allies on Many things, but conservatives they are not.
Pence in his CPAC speech said " While Ronald Reagan said famously, "government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem," many Republicans, even many who call themselves conservatives, see government increasingly as the solution to every social ill. And let us be clear on this point: This is a historic departure from the limited government traditions of our party and millions of its most ardent supporters.....Conservatives know that if you reject these principles of limited government and urge others to reject them, you can still be my ally. You can even be my friend. But you cannot call yourself a conservative."
