"Rush whining about tax issues is quite hilarious. Those of us who work 60 hours or more a week and have to deal with NY tax issues don't have the advantage of high priced lawyers and accountants to fend for us."

Look out! You have just marked yourself as a "victim mentality" --- one who is easily manipulated by the "class-envy" players who (like Hillary) follow Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" to the inth degree.

They play people like you like a fiddle.

This isn't whining?

I'm sick and tired of... I can't find people who are real to hang around. All I get is a bunch of phonies that want to use me or find a way to use me to get their names out there, make themselves famous or what have you in the meantime I'm trying to get things done here and everybody else is playing a game and I don't like the game.

He can choose from tons of friends. People who would be in the same league as him with regard to his politics. And they would be real friends. He has choosen who he has become friends with. The only one to blame is himself.

The only problem he has is that you or I or most of the folks on this forum who may agree with him are no longer in his league as far as friendship goes. We can't jet off to some fancy golf tournament or sit in a luxury box at an NFL game. We can't jet away to some exotic place this evening and be back the next day to do a show. We can't afford someone to prepare custom made meals.

A friend would have to be able to do all that and more. It's not class envy. It's reality. It's life. Imagine if we had the legal issues he is up against. Could we afford to hire Roy Black and fight the fight he has? Could we afford the best PR teams to spin the news for us, write our on air explanations and apologies. Would our employer/syndicator also use the power of their PR teams to keep the cash cow afloat? Could we afford to pay an ex-wife to keep her trap shut in exchange for the good life?

Sure his wealth and stature is well earned. But it is also a mixed blessing, for he can't just hang with one of us. We'd bore him to tears BBQing on our little cement patio and talking about why Fred got a bigger bonus than we did or how the neighbor won't hire chemlawn for the weeds.

Very good observation. How true. The Envy class doesn't even realize how much they are being played. Envy is one of the most destructive of all human emotions.
