I agree with all the stuff he said about phoney Republicans; but what was all that rambling about the "State of New York" and people wanting into his "backpocket." That was the crazy stuff.

I feel exactly like Rush. I'm so sick of suedo-conservatives in the House and Senate backtracking on judges, social security, energy, immigration, etc. that I'm ready to throw in the towel. I refuse to give one cent to any Republican organization until things change. Nothing will change, though, because we have leadership (including the White House) who think they can compromise and "get along" with the opposition.

How I wish our side had the guts and determination that the left has...

His ex-wife is probably trying to get some more money out of him.

Until you've been "pick-pocketed" by Federal and State agencies every time you turn your back on them.....you will probably never know how "crazy" that can make you.

FWIW-

IIRC, professional athletes have to pay income taxes on that portion of their incomes they earn in that state on away games. New York has probably decided to consider Rush an entertainer just as they consider any ball player and has demanded he pay up for broadcasting while he is in teh hilary state.

Do you have any idea how much people pay in taxes in New York, especially in NYC?

It's nuts!

I can't believe you don't know about the incredibly high taxes in NY? Trust me Rush was not crazy; quite the opposite. The parasites in government NEVER have enough of our hard earned money. It is always a struggle. Taxes? didn't that help start a revolution for our Freedom. Believe me, those of us who produce know exactly how evil the arm of government can be. To top it off, we pay these parasites with our hard earned money so they can hassle us further. currently at the State, Local and Federal level the taxpayers are obligated to fund over $20 Trillion in currently unfunded government pensions. Well, now that I think about it, it does make you crazy. I apologize. :)

It was all about taxes.

NY state it sounds like wants millions from him, even though it hasn't been his permanent residence in years.

I don't blame him. He's right.
