This makes Abramoff look pretty sleazy, but then most lobbyists look pretty sleazy to me. I don't see what any of this does to make DeLay look bad, other than guilt by association. This smear job on DeLay is pretty much of a stretch, even by RAT standards.

That's politics and they all play the game of access.
But to try to paint DeLay with this brush, to make him the poster boy of campaign finance abuses, is not only absurd, it's laughable.
The left must think it's rich to try to cut a conservative out of the GOP leadership with this slam. Telling the truth about how things are done on the Hill is all they have and they believe voters are so ignorant about how things are done, that they'll be shocked and they'll lean on their representatives who will push DeLay aside in order to shut down this line of questioning.
