El Rushbo's hysterically funny send-off of famous femi-nazi Andrea Dworkin. Love is subjugation of women and marriage is slavery. That's the view of humanity by a kooky leftist. Once these kinds of ideas used to be on the fringe. In death, Dworkin's writings remade the Left and we can see it in the current political scene in which the Democrats, embracing all manner of kooks, have become the captive of virtually every victim group under the sun.

And yet, some men DO treat women badly, and some women LET it happen.
From an earlier thread today:
"so did Bill Clinton "subjugate" women?"
Yes. Bill abused any women he could seduce and abused some he couldn't. Subjugation. Demeaning. Treating badly. Forcible domination.
All under color of, and sometimes IN the Oval Office. And in the Arkansas Governor's office before that. The man is a disgraceful predator.
And Hillary did NOTHING to stop him. There's your cowardly Feminist, standing firm as Jell-o for your equal rights.

She was married, but as I understand it, it was a very unconventional marriage. I think I also read that she used to be a prostitute, but I'm not sure about that.
I pity anyone who has views such as hers. And she was hailed as this great feminist.

Before Howard Dean, Andrea Dworkin was the original Dr. Demento. If you thought her ideas were too outlandish to be taken seriously, just look at the Left now.

Rush was quite the hefty guy back in the day. But considering Dworkin's weight he was a toothpick at his worst.

Historically speaking, most cultures have traces of marriage as based in capture, and presumably rape of the abductee.
One arguable origin of the wedding ring is as a miniturized version of the shackles used on the woman being abducted.
The historical background is there. To bring these historical facts into today's world and try to use them to somehow invalidate the institution that provides the most protection for women and children is utterly repugnant.

Nooooo, he wasn't calling her fat. He was stating what he SAW PRINTED IN THE SACRAMENTO BEE NEWSPAPER.

She hated men. I can just imagine how most men felt about her!
My husband looked at her picture. If I typed his description and opinion of her, I'd get banned for language violations.

Rush was really in bad temper today because of a tax problem and something else that he wouldn't talk about. At the same time, he was really good, flaming do-nothing Republicans who don't have the guts to change the status quo. He also said "blow job" on the air, which he later apologized for.

I can't find my favorite image of MIZZ. Dworkin in overhalls but this [ http://www.fathersforlife.org/per/images/dwork.jpg ] might give the reader some idea of the size - think refrigerator. The world will be a lot poorer without her insights. On the other hand, poor people will probably have more to eat.
