i got accepted to a university a month ago.
guess what? i got classified as out-of-state.
guess who gets in-state tuition? among residents, the children of illegals.
it's ironic that i grew up on a farm, hoeing beets and beans with migrants. their kids get in-state tuition, but i get out-of-state tuition. very few americans do field work.
another irony is that my natural mother's 3/4 indian. but i'm not affiliated with a tribe because i'm adopted and cannot prove myself. i look italian.
life in the united states of america.
"Iron Eyes Cody" the great Indian actor, was an Italian. <(¿)>
Iron Eyes Cody (April 3, 1904 - January 4, 1999) was a actor born in Kaplan, Louisiana. He was born Espera DeCorti, the son of Italian immigrants Francesca Salpietra and Antonio DeCorti. He was not born a Native American, but he claimed to be part Cherokee and part Cree. His wife Bertha Parker and adopted children were Native American. Cody began his acting career at the age of 12 and continued to work until the time of his death. In 1996, the New Orleans Times-Picayune exposed his true heritage, but Cody denied it.
He appeared in more than 200 films. However, he's most famous for his Crying Indian role in the Keep America Beautiful public service announcement, an ecology commercial in which he shows a tear after looking at a polluted river.
It's truly clear from this ongoing illegal alien dilemma that our government is now disfunctional.
Time to call our troops home and regroup. Who needs a MidEast, European, Far East foreign policy with an on-going invasion across our southern border.
And it's time to write our Congressmen and tell them to not work on any other legislation than dealing with the border problems and illegal aliens. None other!
