Her diagnosis wasn't a hard fact. 1/2 the doctors said she was in a PVS and 1/2 said she was minimally aware.
If she didn't feel pain, then she wouldn't have felt the muscle cramps and therefore wouldn't have needed the morphine. So apparently she could feel pain, Einstein.
