Maria Shriver Schwarzenegger has no desire for her Governator husband to go to the White House. Appearing on Oprah Winfrey's syndicated TV show, Shriver said even if the Constitution was amended to allow the Austrian-born Schwarzenegger to run, she would still oppose a presidential bid. Asked pointedly about the matter, Shriver said, "No. I want him back home actually."
Schwarzenegger spends several days a week in Sacramento on business, while Shriver and their four kids live in Brentwood.
Shriver said here kids are the main obstacle for political ambition.
"I was raised to believe that public service was a noble endeavor," she said. "But it's all-encompassing. It's tough with young children."
Some California press reports suggest Shriver's comments "raise questions about whether she is encouraging her husband not to seek re-election next year."
Though Governor Schwarzenegger is actively fundraising for a 2006 run, he has made no final decision.
PING!
That makes two of us.

That makes two of us.
--> Make it 3 of us.
I wonder if Maria is setting the stage for her husband to gracefully withdraw from seeking reelection. He seems to have a waning desire for "terminating" the liberal Legislature and union interests, as of late.
Count me in too. That's four!
FIVE
Six! LOL!
Did I miss something or was the Constitution amended over the weekend?
Seven.....
I wouldn't even want him as my governor, but California is a special liberal hellhole, and I think they are fortunate to have him. It could be worse, because it was.
Can't be easy living with a democrat party icon as a republican..
Even if you are a very very confused RINO whoreing around with socialist ideas..
NO pity or mercy wished for Arnie.. Hope all the Moonbats drain the last drop of blood from his body... as is happening... Mexifornia is the land of the tax Vampires.. The Massachusetts of the west coast..
eight...
Sorry, Maria. Being a Kennedy you know damn well that public service is nothing more than striving for private financial advantage while masquerading as serving the public interest, all the while pretending to have principles.
Another reason to not watch oprah.
He can't run he's not a Native American.
"Ahnuld is a big improvement over the doofus who used to run California"
Tell ya what, I'll pay your state income taxes this year, if you'll pay mine!
Oh, wait! Oh shit! You don't have state income taxes in TX now do ya! LMAO
Tell ya what, when you move to California; we'll let you say who is and who isn't a "big improvement"
The only difference in this clown and the last clown we had is that this clown has a "R" after his name!
There's a very good likeness of him on post#9
"Maria Shriver Schwarzenegger has no desire for her Governator husband to go to the White House."
Was it offered to him? Is he WH material?
It's like Michael Moore saying he has no desire to be named the "Sexiest Man Alive".
I no longer live in California, but I understand your yearly car registration fee is vastly improved under Ahnuld, correct?
That amendment will never be changed. If the Republicans ever were stupid enough to do it, I would never vote for them again.
