They've tapped into an outrage that's lurking among a certain small segment of the population.

"They've tapped into an outrage that's lurking among a certain small segment of the population, mostly angry white men, and those men tend to be rabid," the new CNN chief tells Charlie Rose of PBS.I thought FR was the place to be for us angry, rabid white men!

And folks watching CNN aren't habitual or worked up? Why else would someone watch someone like that angry white man, Carville?

And CNN wonders why it loses to FNC.
To: rightalien
oh man... they still don't get it...
I predict another 4 years of second place or even third place for CNN.

The difference is that Fox tells the truth (sometimes), CNN doesn`t or slants it and people don`t like to be BS-ed. (See Dan RaTHer)

They've tapped into an outrage that's lurking among a certain small segment of the population. Well, for it being such a small segment, it sure seems like a lot of people to me. Without fail, whenever you see GOP victory on a mass scale, the TV robots trot out stories about "Angry White Men" and the "Religious Right". This is 1994 Redux.

"They tend to be habitual. They tend to like to have their points of view reinforced." I'm glad we have liberals to tell us that conservatives as simple-minded, knuckle-dragging morons -- too dumb to handle the nuances of liberals.

With an attitude like that, I'm sure he'll win back hundreds of thousands of the people he hates so much to his network.

mostly angry white men, and those men tend to be rabid... They tend to like to have their points of view reinforced.Brilliant and incisive . Haven't I heard the same tripe repeated about a million times? Who writes this crud?
liberals tend to like to sample a lot of opinions
Maybe that's why they gave up on CNN, you get the same opinions out of every mouth that speaks.
And they're pretty morally relativistic.
Well, he got one right.
