Massachusetts' small herd of about 1,000 moose with radio collars

If they put radio collars on the moose, how about putting on one of those 'invisible fence' type collars to give the moose a little 'juice' if it gets near the highway?

Yeah...that's the kind of idea you'd expect from a pentode. All those grids...feh! And who needs a darned vacuum tube AF/RF amplifier anymore, anyhow. [big grin]

Bull moose in rut rarely pay attention to anything short of a mortal wound, and those just slow them down a bit. Rutting moose are probably the most dangerous of US wildlife, short of a mother bear whose cubs you are harrassing (though the moose tend to act more randomly than the enraged bear would).
