The largest and most destructive land battle fought in Asia in WWII was the Battle of Kohima, in India, between the Chindits and the Japanese. It was considered a second Verdun, with the Japanese force being virtually wiped out to a man. At that time, the British-led Indians and Nationalist Chinese were allies fighting against Imperial Japan.

Countries are not going to invade other countries like they used to. This is 2005. It won't happen. The world would not allow it. Perhaps I have my rose colored glasses on?
