Judy Blume? I used to love those Fudge books in gradeschool!
Why is it so bad for teenagers to read about the emotional implications of sex? It isn't going to be forever when you're 16.

I think our children grow up too fast these days, and have done so since the sexual revolution came into force. The paradoxical thing about it is that if they grow up too fast in the wrong way, they may never fully grow up in the right way. They become chic and sophisticated but not really mature.
Witness all the 50 or 60 year old adolescents like Bill Clinton that crowd our news and entertainment. Seemingly they will never grow up.

It is not something I would want my 6th grader being forced to read - a 12 year old does not need to be reading the joy of losing your virginity...

Ban those books. Keep your young teens innocent and pure. The perps, scumbags, pimps and predators will love ya for it.
At some point in time ya gotta prepare your kids for the real world. If not they become easy targets for the bad people.
How about letting your kids go so movies that are targeted at their age group where the actors are in their thirties playing the part of 16 - 18 yr old high scholl kids where anything goes. Yhe movie "Porkeys" comes to mind.
If you think kids don´t know about sex listen to them sometime it will shock ya.
