I applaud what these parents did and would do the same myself, and have, havig put five children through the public schools. Took a lot of vigilance and close watch to make sure that our childen were not taken in by the social liberal views so prevaalent in today's education system.

Well, I guess that's really where we disagree then. I don't applaud what these parents did, and you do. It's the most fundamental of disagreements. And....since you brought your parenting experience into it, I disagree despite having put 2 children through the public school system myself, and I'm currently homeschooling 2 more. I put 2 kids through public school myself, and I'm homeschooling 2 more.

I salute you for you own effort and feelings on behalf of your children, and particularly for home scholing. My oldest daughter is home schooling her two.

These parent got involved on behalf of their children and they made a difference by so doing. I applaud their involvement...and in this case, agree with it too.

I must congratulate you on such a wise decision. Your kids will thank you for that and they will live wonderful, happy, productive lives. My cousin was homeschooled and she may be the most brilliant, sociable, and kind-hearted person i've ever met.
