Don't you think if DeLay really broke the law, he'd been run out of Washington by now?
Um, no. I'm sure more than a few of the 436 political hacks in DC have broken the law or tweaked it enough to be called breaking without being run out of DC. And where there's smoke, there is usually some fire.
Beside that, he should at least step down from his leadership role for pandering to fringe groups that wished to misuse the Constitution to have their way in a state issue.
