" Nice to know that even this aging, Iranian revolutionary POS has more respect for Old Glory than our very own Libs."

Worth repeating many, many time, S.

Yeah, I did, and it made me so sad. Why do all these Iranian youths still have to plead so desparately to be heard and to be morally at least supported. It absolutely dumbfounds me. Why are the liberals SO shamelessly implacable?

BTW, thanks for the heads up!

From the blog that you linked:

Nightline’s Bob Woodruff was in Tehran and met with some young Iranians and asked them how they felt about their government, society and freedom. Unfortunately, he was able to get them to say what he wanted to hear!

We have seen this same performance by the mainstream media all over the world. Pick almost any evil dictatorship in the world. At some time, some idiotic reporter will have given the dictator a favorable interview, or will have interviewed citizens who say the dictator is not a bad guy at all.

Dan Rather interviewed Saddam and Fidel. You would have thought that both of those thugs were due to be canonized.

I think the reason he is talking like this, is that he is no longer in power to screw Iranian people up.

... or that he has changed his mind.

"Though the hostage crisis remains the predominant image of Iran for many Americans, for Iran, it is time to move on, Mirdamadi said through a translator"

Like hell it is!

"Gradually, I think it is now an event in the history," he said. "Its time now is over."

Not exactly. It may well be payback time, though.

"I am not a journalist and I haven't been arrested," one student said. "I haven't been arrested yet, because I don't know how they arrest people."

Let me get this straight: you don't know how they arrest people, therefore you haven't been arrested yet.

Hmmm...

With logic like that, are you sure you're not a journalist . . . for the MSM?

I've believed for a long time that the majority of Iran's population is friendly and harbors no ill will towards the U.S. The real problem is the mullahs - there is absolutely no way they will relinquish power, especially since doing so would result in the birth of a pro-Western government, which the mullahs could never accept.

Unfortunately, the mullahs are in power, and most importantly, they control the military. This will be a long, drawn-out process.

You are correct!

The only language the Mullahs of Tehran understand is the language of FORCE
