What drew me to www.Soundpolitics.com in the first place was this intriguing notion. The basic idea is that "the party" wouldn't want to expose themselves unduly, but what happens if subtle encouragements are made to commit "acts of opportunity" here and there. The risks are spread out away form the ranking officers, and the benefits are rather obvious.
It is already a tenet of democrats that the ends always justify the means, so it doesn't represent a stretch to keep your eyes open for a chance to "do one for the flipper".
The miscalculation that the 'rats have made was in the initial support for Fraudoire - what's there was tepid at best (now her kids probably don't talk to her ;'} and the resistance of the republicans (we never stand up for ourselves! ;'}
It remains to be seen whether or not the state supremes can see beyond their own noses and do the right thing.
