BTW, would anyone know just how "blue" our state was in the general election? The moderate east half of WA state wants to form a new state and I'm curious about the overall picture.

The Cascades make a fine dividing line. Blue to the west, red to the east. I'd recommend visiting the Washington Secretary of State's website to research the exact percentages.
